Flywire usually pays commissions for the purchase of insurance and that percentage will be stated on your agreement. However, when a policy is cancelled or the duration of the policy is shortened, there is a refund processed.
When there is a refund, this means that Flywire will clawback the paid commissions.
For example: if the cancellation is due to the visa being refused, the student will get a full refund of the policy. Therefore, we will clawback the total commission amount paid. If for the purchase of the policy the agent got 100 AUD, once the refund is processed, we will clawback 100 AUD.
As commissions are paid on a monthly basis, our team will process a balance between all the purchases and cancellations you had during that particular month.
