If you’re traveling to New Zealand to study, purchasing health insurance is a prerequisite for your student visa. This is mandated by Section 534 of the New Zealand Education and Training Act of 2020 Codes of Practice for the pastoral care of tertiary and international learners. All tertiary education providers, schools enrolling international learners, and insurance providers must comply with the code.
